Website maintenance

Keep client sites healthy

Updates, backups, security checks and small changes for the websites you manage. You sell the care plan, we do the work.

The boring work that protects your reputation

A hacked site or a broken update lands on your desk, even if the build was perfect. Regular care stops most of it.

Our maintenance team handles the routine, so your team does not have to.

What website maintenance covers and why it matters

A hacked site or a broken update lands on your desk, even if the build was perfect. Most of those problems are avoidable with regular care, and regular care is exactly the kind of work that gets forgotten when agencies are busy.

Updates, tested first

WordPress core, themes and plugins are updated regularly. We test updates before they go live, keep a backup to roll back to, and check the site afterwards. That is safer than clicking update across ten client sites on a Friday afternoon.

Backups and security

Backups are stored away from the server the site runs on. We run security checks and malware scanning, and we keep an eye on the signs that something is wrong, such as a form that stopped sending or a page returning errors.

Small changes

Swap a photo, add a team member, fix a typo, change an opening time. Small content and layout changes are part of the service, so clients are not waiting on a new project for a tiny edit.

Resell it as your own care plan

You set the price your client pays for a care plan and we do the work behind the scenes. If you also want builds and fixes, the dedicated team includes maintenance.

Maintenance questions

What does website maintenance include?

Updates to WordPress, themes and plugins, regular backups, security checks and malware scanning, monitoring, and small content changes. Updates are tested before they go live.

Why do websites need maintenance?

Software gets updated all the time. Without updates, sites become slower, break more often and become easier to hack. Regular care prevents most problems.

Can I resell this as my own care plan?

Yes. That is the idea. You set the price your client pays and we do the work behind the scenes.

Do you look after sites you did not build?

Usually yes. We take a quick look first to make sure the site is in good shape and tell you if anything needs fixing before we take it on.

What happens if a site gets hacked?

We restore from a recent backup and clean up. If the damage is serious, we scope the clean-up separately and tell you the cost first.

Where are the backups stored?

Away from the server the site runs on, so a problem with the site does not take the backups with it.

What about premium plugins and themes?

Premium plugins need their own licences to receive updates. We tell you which ones a site uses so the licences can be kept current.

Is maintenance included in the dedicated team?

Yes. Maintenance is part of the monthly plan, alongside builds, fixes and small changes.
